At Prime Meats we offer the best selected cattle for our clients and we have different programs to cover all needs:
USDA Prime
Is produced from young, well-fed beef cattle. It has slightly abundant to abundant marbling, and is generally sold in hotels and restaurants. Prime roasts and steaks are excellent for broiling, roasting or grilling.
Prime Meats Platinum
This grade is a Prime Meats exclusive. Steaks are Angus USDA Choice upper 2/3rds. It means cuts will have great marbling, superior tenderness, mouthwatering juiciness and rich flavor. Also, it assures beef will have a wet aged guaranteed minimum of 21-28 days.
USDA Choice
Is high quality, has less marbling than Prime. Choice roasts and steaks from the loin and rib will be very tender, juicy, and flavorful and are suited for broiling, roasting or grilling. Less tender cuts, such as from round, are perfect for braising, roasting, or simmering on the stovetop with a small amount of liquid.
USDA Select
Is normally leaner than Prime or Choice. It is fairly tender, but because it has less marbling, it may not have as much juiciness or flavor. Select beef can be great on the grill, and is also good for marinating or braising.
USDA Angus
The Angus breed has proven to grow into heavy market weights quickly without becoming overly fatty. Superior genetics provide faster desired muscling and greater marbling in shorter maturity patterns, typically within 30 months. This qualifies as USDA ‘A’ Maturity – the best available.
